little motion tracking script

Basic idea is to take difference frames assuming localized movements. The central point is computed for each difference frame. Then, this central point is tracked.

Plenty of knobs to tweak and tune.

motion detection

Motion detection working with use of Flash and flex backend.

Today's discussion

We decided to focus on purely the graphical content for this week. Also, we need to work on answering these questions.

Graphical Design: ?

Identity: Achieved via crowd sourcing, thus we know who you are
We may display questions which are relevant to who this particular person is.

Scalability (how to support multiple users): ?

Persistence: ?

"If you would like me to know who you are, put a (any) form of identification in front of my eye"

TODO:
- Motion Detection with Camera (to wake up the screen and put the screen to sleep)
- Multiple iterations of graphical design
- Addition of a nob input device. This allows one to click and scroll through the questions

Another idea for a nob is as follows:
1) The words automatically shift from one to the other in a clockwise and then a counterclockwise motion.
2) If the word stops on a question which fits the user, then the user can cover the webcam and this is the equivalent of a click.

Img-thing

Perhaps something like this can be shown before the user walks up to the screen. Then, after we come close, then a reflection comes up with represents yourself.

screen resolution

The resolution of the screen display is 1366x768.

Identity

Woodenmirror

What is identity? This is a famous wooden mirror installation which was done by Daniel Rozin:

Let's do something which follows in this mindset but where the face is comprised of previous questions and answers which have been saved in the database.
